The Store Manager is responsible for setting sales targets, implementing effective strategies, and tracking performance to drive continuous growth. The role also involves managing budgets, controlling inventory, ensuring compliance with company policies, and leading the store team to maintain a productive and positive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive overall store performance using key performance indicators (KPIs), including turnover, rewards, new accounts, and visual standards.

Meet and exceed turnover targets while maintaining strict control over expenses.

Monitor stock losses and ensure shrinkage stays within acceptable company limits.

Maintain high operational standards with a strong focus on customer experience.

Implement merchandising plans and ensure visual presentation standards are consistently met.

Deliver excellent customer service that aligns with customer expectations and business goals.

Recruit, train, and develop employees while managing performance and staff relations effectively.

Create efficient staff schedules and ensure optimal time management across the team.

Motivate and engage employees to maintain strong performance and commitment levels.

Identify, assess, and manage potential risks within the store environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

Grade 12 / Matric certificate.

A relevant tertiary qualification is considered an advantage.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in retail store management.

Proven experience in recruitment, staff development, and performance management.

Demonstrated ability to drive sales and improve profitability.

Skills Required:

Ability to adapt to different customers, situations, and fast-paced retail environments.

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

High level of urgency, independence, and initiative.

Excellent planning, organizational, and administrative capabilities.
