Part-Time Sales Assistant – PEP (Riversdale, Western Cape)

Job Description

PEP is recruiting a Part-Time Sales Assistant for its Riversdale store. This role is ideal for a friendly, energetic individual who enjoys working with customers and contributing to a positive retail environment.

Purpose of the Position

As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for promoting sales, minimising stock losses, managing inventory, assisting customers, operating the cash register, and supporting PEP’s low-cost culture to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly and professionally

• Promote products and current in-store promotions

• Operate the cash register accurately and honestly

• Assist with stock receiving, organisation, and merchandising

• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and security procedures

• Handle customer queries and resolve issues courteously

• Support the team in achieving sales targets

Minimum Requirements

• Matric

• Experience in retail, sales, cashiering, or customer service

• English communication skills

• Reside within 15 km of the store

• Clear criminal record

• Honest and trustworthy, especially when handling cash

Preferences (Advantageous)

• Computer literacy

• Passion for retail and customer service
