Job Description

Vector Logistics is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join the team in Gqeberha on a fixed-term contract. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for creating attractive in-store product displays, maintaining excellent shelf health, and ensuring promotional materials are correctly placed. This role supports increased sales and delivers a positive shopping experience.

What You’ll Do

• Set up product displays according to promotions, seasonal themes, and store plans

• Follow correct shelf layouts (planograms) and merchandising standards

• Remove old, damaged, or expired stock and replace with fresh stock

• Install banners, flags, and other promotional materials in stores

• Ensure shelves are fully stocked, clean, and well organised

• Track shelf stock levels and update counts in the store system

• Place orders when required to avoid out-of-stock items

• Complete reports on stock nearing expiry and share with the team

• Handle product returns according to the correct uplift procedures

• Communicate with store staff regarding display changes and timelines

• Ensure products are positioned for optimal visibility and shelf health

• Plan daily work effectively and meet deadlines

• Support the team by being reliable, proactive, and solution-focused

• Participate in training and performance reviews

• Support company values and assist in achieving sales and returns targets

Requirements

• Matric / National Senior Certificate

• Previous experience in merchandising or retail sales (advantageous), including:

  • Merchandiser

  • Retail Sales Assistant

  • Sales Associate / Consultant / Representative

• Good command of English

• Must reside within 15 km of the job location

• Clear criminal record

Preferences

• Candidates between 18 and 65 years old

• Meeting preferences is an advantage but not mandatory
