Learner Sales Agent: STI Outbound (FAIS)

Absa is looking for a motivated Learner Sales Agent to join their Short-Term Insurance (STI) Outbound team. This is a structured training and development programme designed to help you gain FAIS-compliant qualifications while building practical experience in outbound insurance sales.

You will participate in learning, complete assessments, and perform daily sales and customer service tasks according to set standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Development

• Attend all learning programmes and training sessions

• Participate in workplace learning aligned with development objectives

• Complete FAIS-related training, assessments, and qualification requirements

Outbound Sales

• Work daily sales leads efficiently

• Achieve required strike rates, talk times, and productivity targets

• Follow prescribed scripts to ensure compliance

• Maintain accurate sales tracking and reporting

Customer Experience

• Deliver excellent service to all customers

• Handle customer queries professionally

• Achieve customer satisfaction targets

• Maintain confidentiality of all client information

Administration

• Complete daily admin tasks accurately

• Record sales performance and progress

• Support the team with necessary admin as required

Ad Hoc Duties

• Provide general support to the team when needed

• Assist in maintaining performance during busy periods

FAIS Requirements (Mandatory)

This is a regulated financial role. You must meet the following or be willing to complete them:

• National Senior Certificate / Matric (required)

• FSCA-approved qualification for representatives

• Regulatory Exam (RE5)

• Product-specific training upon onboarding

• Class of Business (COB) training

• Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

• Demonstrated honesty, integrity, and good conduct

Education

• National Senior Certificate / Matric (required)

• Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma (advantage)
